I did the Shamrock 8k with my girlfriend. It was on the Saturday of the weekend, with the half and full marathons on the Sunday. There was a pretty good turnout for the race with lots of spectators and racers. The weather was a bit cooler than I had hoped given that we were right on the beach.. but don’t worry the sun to pop out in the afternoon. The race itself is a fast and flat course with a bit of headwind when you are running on the boardwalk portion. We stayed in at the Hampton Inn which had an ocean view with a great view of the finish line for all events too!
