This race gives runners of all backgrounds and ability levels the opportunity to experience the City of Scranton from a unique perspective. The course is predominantly roads/blacktop, with a small section of crushed stone trails, which provides a physiological and psychological respite at the perfect point late in the race! The crowd and spectators are the best !! It's a great race and not only do you get medal but you also get a commemorative blanket. It's what people look forward to and why people keep returning year after year .

This is one of the best half marathons out there! The organizers of this race do an absolutely fantastic job. Packet pickup is quick and easy, the course is great, and the crowd support is amazing. Great for first timers, or veteran runners.
