Ran the 1st leg (of 3) of the 50K relay on the beautiful and challenging Laurel Highlands trail. Running with and cheering on friends in the Appalachian rainforest, blooming mountain laurel, perfect running weather, can't beat it. See ya next year!
Another Laurel Highlands 50k relay race in the books! It was a fantastic event. I ran the second leg this year. My team will be back next year and I'm taking on the first leg CLIMB. Looking forward to it!
Great race and weekend in Ohiopyle!!! I ran the 3rd leg in the 50k relay. The course was well marked and beautiful views along the LHHT. Will be back again next year!
I was pumped to be part of my first trail relay team. The excitement built all morning, making me feel like I was shot out of a cannon when it was my turn to run! I was so inspired by the other runners and the support from family/friends.
This race gives you all the feels! Running it three times (first leg in the relay twice and the 50k last year) and placing in the top 3 entices me to come back each year for more! It’s challenging yet humbling course makes you give it your all!
I’ve been trail running with my all female group for a few years now, and this was my first trail race! Very organized, great race swag, and the most beautiful trail! Winning first women’s relay was icing on this already amazing cake!
My first 50K, but a trail I have run and hiked on for years. Fun, but definitely challenging race. Don't be fooled by the mellow trail in this picture - LOTS of elevation. 10/10 would do again...well maybe the relay next time.
I was thrilled to be a part of a 50K Relay Team this year on the LHHT! Several years ago I had to drop out due to illness, which made this extra special! There were HILLS, thunder, and downpours creating muddy trails-I savored every minute of it!
This was my first relay race. It was a blast! At first, it felt a bit odd not starting the race at the same time. That said, the anticipation of my teammate arriving before it was my turn was exciting. Can’t wait to run it again next year!
Awesome race with old friends and new friends. I ran the first leg of the 50k relay. The hills!! 3,000 feet of elevation gain across 12 miles! Not something we see here in Ohio. Great trail. Well organized. Hope to be back next year!!
