I ran the full marathon this past year. It was beautiful, you get a glimpse of each part of akron and the city. Sand run was a rough 3 miles straight uphill right around mile 20 so that was painful. But the sights were beautiful. One of my favorite.

The Akron Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay just completed their 20th year and the experience keeps getting better! From the registration process, to the Expo, to Race Day and the After Party, everything was perfect start to finish!

This race is always well organized and is the largest race in the area. The course can be challenging with rolling hills. Always great race swag. Race distances to meet every runners needs between the marathon, half, and relay.
