This is an up/down river race with buoy turns. Mostly flat deep water, some slow moving shallows. There are plenty of viewing opportunities for spectators. Race officials reserve the right to alter the course if deemed necessary. The race starts and ends at the same location. Day of race registration opens at 8:00am. The USCA Ohio State Canoe, Kayak, And Paddle Board State Championships is one of the best paddle races in Ohio. It is well organized with a nice out and back looped course. There are two race distances and lots of boat class divisions.
