Summary

I get it: chia seeds are having a superfood moment. That did cause me to pick one of these up to try for a run, but it didn't make the experience worthwhile.

Huma Huma energy gel Review

Perhaps this is an unpopular opinion, but I really like strawberry lemonade as a gel flavor. It sounds good and it's not too hard to stomach in different brands/gels. That being said, this Huma gel was downright nasty. I have an iron stomach, but it still made me queasy due to the mixed texture (you can taste and chew the chia seeds) as well as the sour flavor. I don't know what made me more upset: the fact that I had wasted $3 on the gel or that I had to eat it because I hadn't packed another kind for my run.

Sure, go ahead and try this gel for yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you. The chewy-liquid-nature of it was not to my liking.
